Topshop’s fabulous Christmas Collection!
Set to launch this week, Deco Grunge, Fallen Angel and Stardust are collections designed for a very Topshop Christmas- Take a look and add some serious weight to your Christmas wishlist:
Inspired by the free-spirited flapper girls of the roaring twenties, getting dressed up is all about having fun this winter. Super luxe fabrics; think satins, devores, and velvets in aged pastels and muted brights are given a hedonistic spin with extravagant lame, marabou, fringing, and beading. To get the look, throw on a washed satin slip with an Art Deco motif, a shrunken flapper dress, or embellished velvet shorts, and add an oh-so-grungy take by layering them .
The soft and the tough collide in Fallen Angel. Diaphanous silks and chiffons are mixed with leather and patent, while ethereal ruffles, delicate appliqué and cutwork are given a touch of tough when contrasted with zips, chains and harnesses. From studded tuxedo jackets and safety pin collars to dramatic-feather shoulder detailing and sultry lace panels, these are pieces for making a statement in. Body-con silhouettes continue to rule with skin-tight dresses, high-gloss leggings, second-skin pencil skirts and high-waist shorts stealing the style-limelight
An all-out star-spangled tribute to Ziggy Stardust, this collection is about sparkle, sparkle, and even more sparkle! Attention-grabbing shades – magenta, emerald, ruby and cobalt – are contrasted with burnished molten metallics and heavy black to emulate the attitude-fuelled rock and roll demeanor. Sequin-scattered biker jackets, skinny foil print jeans, marabou feather caplets, and slinky all-in-ones take their cue from the drama of stage-perfect ensembles. Platforms with super-high heels come in snakeskin or bright suede and look amazing styled up with lurex hosiery!
I hope Santa’s listening!
