I can be considered a regular at Noodle House but I’ve surprisingly never really delved into their seafood items on their menu. This time, I dined alone, simply for the quietude and quality time with some butter tiger prawns. It’s amazing what can happen when left with only your thoughts and Instagram for company, during a meal.
First up, I loved the warm hospitality of the staff at The Noodle House from the word go – the service was impeccable this time, a notch higher than that of the Madinat Jumeirah and the Emirates Towers branches I visited recently.
Butter Prawns served with brown rice
Passion Sensation mocktail
The crispy Calamari is a good choice. Not on its own, but with the sauce (I picked the chili garlic with lemongrass sauce even though it came with another darker sauce) it transforms into a fantastic appetizer. The staff recommended the Passion Sensation mocktail – a blend of Passionfruit and cranberry juice with 7-UP to complement the starter.
The Butter prawns, however grabbed the spotlight. Presented beautifully, the tiger prawns came marinated in chili butter and curry leaves – a very distinct taste, but not too spicy. Complemented with a portion of brown rice, the dish instantly made it to my top list of must-haves at The Noodle House. The steamed greens I ordered were not my favorite, but then again, it’s probably because I’m not big on green veggies in general.
I settled for a cup of refreshing green jasmine tea to make way for the desert- I always love this part of the meal for it’s calming and relaxing effect- another good recommendation from the staff.
To top it off, I picked chocolate lava with a scoop of vanilla icecream. Incase you’re wondering how one person managed to demolish such a feast, I’d say the portions were just right – not too heavy but definitely good for someone with a healthy appetite. It’s quality over quantity anytime!
