I’ve always love perfumes since I can remember… as a little girl, I’d tip toe to my mother’s dresser and try on all her perfumes together- ‘Tresor’ and ‘Poison’ will always remind me of childhood! However, as the years went by, I found myself gravitating towards lighter, fruity fragrances which I think, somehow reflect my own personality (yup, fruity, it is… also, very laidback and dreamy, but mostly fruity :-) ). I hear people say everyone has their distinct fragrance ‘type’, but I find myself drawn to different types as I grow older… I’ve just started to like darker, more intense and musky fragrances now, something I never thought I’d say, a few years ago!
Enter: Dsquared2 Potion for women and I’m changed woman. A whiff of the violets and blackberries in the top notes had me sold, but it’s the base note that really clinched it for me- Musk and vanilla, amber and patchouli blend together to make it absolutely unforgettable and truly exotic. I also loved the bottle, inspired by yesteryears’ alchemist shops- very unique and vintage inspired.
Potion for women is definitely my pick for autumn winter 12-13 and I reckon it’s all set to be my new signature fragrance.
