I’m loving the collection for its four key trends ‘Mes Essentials Adores’ which is all about formals and corporate dressing, ‘Mon Chic Dressing’ an everyday fashion collection, occasion wear is summed up in ‘Mon Look Party’ and ‘My Favorite Denim’ is simple and sophisticated. The selection includes dresses, tops, light jackets, pants and skirts that come with an unmistakable Parisian charm. Tres chic!

The sleek white boats anchored at Dubai Marina Yatch club set a spectacular backdrop for the launch of Turkish brand, Koton’s Spring Summer 2012 collection. I’m a sucker for yachts but was easily distracted by the fantastic collection on display- especially the swimwear!  If only the nasty weather in Dubai right now would allow us to hit the beach in these super sexy numbers… sigh!

Beachwear has a lot of tropical prints in gorgeous shades of turquoise, strawberry, vermilion, lemon and palm green- a delicious palette for the beach, don’t you think? I also love the mix and match options for bikinis! I’m thinking of matching sugar pink with midnight blue or perhaps lilac with yellow? Gawd, I love being spoilt for choice!

I’m loving some of the pieces from the womenswear collection as well. The trousers in sweet sorbet shades, dresses dipped in brights and A line dresses were reminiscent of 1950s hollywood! Also saw this super gorg white peplum skit which is on my most coveted list right now along with contrast collar shirts for work and cute shift dresses.

The launch of designer label, Ana Zayan at Dubai’s eclectic S*uce boutique was everything it promised to be, and more. With a spattering of glitter, chocolate coated apples and pink cotton candy, the theme of the night was definitely sweet and girly.

The spring summer ’12 collection by the renowned local designer, Zayan is bright, very girly and definitely has that je ne sais quoi quality to it. I can’t quite put a finger to it but there’s something extremely alluring about the pieces here. Be it the spikes and studs that are super hot right now or the quirky printed shopper bags or even detailing on the cute dresses.

This was my first time at the immensely recommended S*uce Boutique and I must say I did come away impressed. The boutique not only houses an exclusive edit of designer pieces from local and regional brands but also attracts a diverse clientele- I bumped into a Japanese Abaya designer at the event who’d come all the way from the Far East and a lady wearing the most quirky necklace from Sauce- fashion with a sense of humor!
