RnB artist, Kanye West is all set to launch his own fashion line for women! The Gold Digga rapper was recently seen at Central Saint Martin’s Campus, spurring rumors that he’s enrolling as a student but now we know why! He was there to rope in Louise Wilson, faculty at Central St Martins’ as an advisor to oversee the collection.
Kanye West for Louis Vuitton
Kanye West
Previously, he had collaborated with Nike and Louis Vuitton to create a collection of shoes and at one point, even interned at Gap! The gossip mills say he’s planning on reeling in Kate Moss as the face of his line and is all set to launch the collection at the forthcoming New York Fashion week.
Well let’s just hope his designs are not as heavily inspired and remixed as his adaptation of Daft Punk’s ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’.
It seems like everybody’s favorite whipping boy of the season, Dior’s ex Creative head, John Galliano is all set to get a second chance in the fashion industry. Well, we all expected, it but not THIS soon!
John Galliano
Apparently TOPSHOP wants him to design a line exclusively for them- Now whether that’s called a show of solidarity or just an enterprising business proposition, only Sir Philip Green will be able to tell. He’ll just have to wait until September 8, when the verdict on Galliano’s anti Semitic rant is slated to be out.
The devil wins a Booker?
Anna Wintour
Rumor has it that Anna Wintour, the all too famous editor of Vogue for the past 23 years, is going to pen an autobiography. Considering the fact that the novel and the movie, “The devil wears Prada” are loosely based on her real life demanding and overbearing personality, we think we know enough about her already.
Having said that, I’m kinda curious about one of the world’s most successful fashion editors – her wardrobe, her parties, her sidekicks… I’ll admit, I’m secretly looking forward to it!
Angelina Jolie has just shot for the newest edition of the iconic ‘Core values’ campaign from the house of Louis Vuitton. In keeping with her avatar as a compassionate adopter of orphans and her multinational, ever-growing family, the campaign is shot in Cambodia. !

Her interview with LV is a major part of the campaign, wherein she reveals how her first visit to Cambodia while shooting for Lara Croft, was a life changing experience. She’s said to be posing ‘barefoot, wearing her own clothes, no makeup and toting her own, elegantly weathered , six-year-old monogrammed Alto bag. Yet Angelina Jolie looks radiant and completely in her element, reclining on a wooden boat in a verdant, lakeside landscape in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province’ according to a report by WWD.
The new LV model came for the shoot towing all of her six children, some of who had to be shooed out of the frame! Cute? Well hope the photographer thought so too. The ad will debut in the International Herald Tribune on Wednesday, followed by a range of news, general interest and lifestyle publications, including Vanity Fair.
A proud patron of to-do lists, high street brands and um ice cream, I'm usually found scavenging sales at malls or rushing about town with my heels and emergency make up stash in tow, in case of unforeseen circumstances ( there's no dearth of those in a journalist's life!).
Somewhere between reporting on the retail industry and moving countries, I started penning down my musings on this blog...well mostly just for fun, but I've grown to really love it! Do dig in and share your thoughts :-)
