FY goes to Tea At Tiffany’s

I could imagine what Holly Gollighty in Breakfast at Tiffany’s felt like, as she traipsed down the aisles of the world’s most amazing diamonds, feeling like a million bucks. Cut to present day, I felt exactly the same, as I walked through a heritage tour of Tiffany’s in Dubai.
As part of their 175th anniversary, Tiffany & Co recently hosted an amazing heritage tour, showcasing its priceless, iconic pieces, flown in from different parts of the world. From pieces worn by celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn to Kate Winslet and Anne Hathaway, to custom made jewelry for royalty, to history’s most memorable ornaments, made for an unforgettable walk through time, with Tiffany.

I simply fell in love with one statement brooch made with mother of pearl and diamonds to resemble the most stunning piece of jewelry I ever laid my eyes on. The price tag? Well, priceless! Other iconic pieces on the tour were the ‘Bird on a rock’ and the dragonfly, which are ingrained in Tiffany’s history.
The pièce de résistance of the tour was the tremendous yellow diamond from South Africa, one of the largest single diamonds in the world, set in a necklace laced with Tiffany’s most brilliant and stunning diamonds.
What I loved most, is the brand’s impeccable attention to detail – right from the quality of diamonds, down to the color scheme of the showrooms, and even to the custom made upholstery! What a tremendous experience- not just for the unforgettable heritage tour, but also for capturing that aura and radiating that old-world, inimitable charm through the years. Here’s to another 75 years and more, of that Tiffany magic!
