“The heat is on!” May have been a hugely popular hit back in the 80’s but it’s so apt for Dubai right now, I can’t get it out of my head. If there’s one product that I’ve gone completely mad about, it’s Dermalogica Microfoliant Face wash! I knew instantly that this one’s going to be my companion for life! Why? Simply because it has pampered and polished and brightened my skin silly- it’s almost ridiculous!

I had never used a powdered face wash before so it took me a few days to get used to the texture of the face exfoliator (I was used to the the gel or granulated lotions) but after just one use, it more than redeemed itself for being different.

It’s a unique rice-based powder formula, which  activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells. All one has to do is rub it in the palm of your hands to make a paste and gently exfoliate, to watch the magic at work!

I always thought ‘Micodermabrasion’ sounded like something scary to do to your skin…it’s just so clinical and industrial- sounding. The full effect of Microdermabrasion was seen after a few days. I actually did a double take in the mirror as I couldn’t believe the improvement in texture, tone and complexion! It really was transformational, to say the least- and that too without the use of any chemicals ( unlike those chemical peels that  are quite dangerous to use on the skin) Microdermabraision simply exfoliates with micro- granules, using a suction tube, removing dead cells and dullness off the face.
