If there’s one product that I’ve gone completely mad about, it’s Dermalogica Microfoliant Face wash! I knew instantly that this one’s going to be my companion for life! Why? Simply because it has pampered and polished and brightened my skin silly- it’s almost ridiculous!

I had never used a powdered face wash before so it took me a few days to get used to the texture of the face exfoliator (I was used to the the gel or granulated lotions) but after just one use, it more than redeemed itself for being different.

It’s a unique rice-based powder formula, which  activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells. All one has to do is rub it in the palm of your hands to make a paste and gently exfoliate, to watch the magic at work!

The skin brightening complex helps to balance uneven skin pigmentation while a super-soothing blend of Green Tea, Ginkgo and Colloidal Oatmeal helps to calm the skin.

My own skin showed tremendous improvement after 2 weeks of use!

The result? Ridiculously gorgeous, even skin tone and really smooth and hydrated skin that literally glows. This one’s a real keeper, I tell you!

I recently visited the much talked-about hot spot for all things girly- Dollhouse Salon at the Dubai Ladies Club and instantly fell in love with the vibe! I was there for my Clarifying Back Facial (wait, is t still called ‘facial’ if its on my back?… Hmmm but you get the drift!) using the DDG -Dr Dennis Gross products!

I was a bit apprehensive at first because I had never done any treatment for my back before and was not sure how the skin would react, but since the treatment came so highly recommended, I just had to give it a shot! Especially since I’m going to be wearing a backless dress for a friend’s wedding soon.  So it’s safe to say that the stakes were pretty high!

The DDG treatment is meant to rid you of dry, dehydrated skin, rough patches and breakouts with a patented blend of alpha and beta hydroxyl acids that improve skin density, texture and tone. With a micro-exfoliation step and a calming follow-up step, I did feel relaxed and super sexy, thanks to the silky smooth back.

Moisturizing body wash: DDG

The procedure:

The therapist began the treatment by cleansing the back with the moisturizing body wash, followed by  a few pumps of the Hydra-Pure Mist over the treatment area. Once it dries out completely the therapist begins the 3-step Alpha Beta Body Peel Professional System.

The treatment finishes with the application of Water Resistant Sunscreen with Vitamin C SPF 30. After the treatment, I found my skin way more firm, radiant, smooth and evened out!

At AED280 for 30minutes, it was well worth putting my back into it!

While picking out the outfits, I fell in love with the color palette at Benetton this season- Coral, bright green, peachy pinks and fiery reds. Even the accessories were incredible, with lime green pumps and handbags topping my summer wish-list!

But my absolute favorite will always be the essential summer- whites! So I decided to go with a sharp white blazer and matching trousers for a very Bianca Jagger look, but added a printed white vest inside for a lil fun. I loved the laid-back, summery feel to the outfit and decided to keep the look fuss-free, without accessories- Think summer getaway to a resort far, far away….
