‘Twas a dark night of mystique, anticipation and unbelievable acrobats at the ‘Freak’ perfume launch in Dubai. This is the first fragrance launched by the two year old edgy, British cosmetics brand, Illamasqua. Joe Corre, son of Vivienne Westwood and manager of the Sex Pistols Malcolm McLaren, unveiled the fragrance at the Bloomingdales store.

On ‘Freak’ The Fragrance
The rich, sensual opening notes of Black Davana, burnt orange bloom base and the subtle mustiness of Poison Hemlock creates a compelling night fragrance. The perfume also has a touch of Datura- the Moonflower, an intoxicating scent that has long been used as a heady aphrodisiac! The exquisitely rare Queen of the Night, which blooms fleetingly for a single night each year, completes this concoction with its warm, soft floral scent.
I think it succeeds in lending a mysterious, exotic appeal to the wearer. Say, something I’d wear to a masquerade ball!
